The constant art

Why I paint

I have been painting and creating with passion for as long as I can remember. Art is my language, with which I reflect, process and understand without words. It is the constant companion of my life, which gives me peace, clarity and a deep understanding of what is. For me, art is more than just a creative process - it enables me to progress internally and is a kind of anchor for my personal reality.

In my works, elements of nature often merge with the figures I depict. I am particularly fascinated by the depiction of faces and personal experiences. Through abstraction and the expansion of reality with my imagination, I create new worlds.

The color palettes of my pictures are particularly important to me because I rarely plan them in advance and often choose them in the moment. The picture is more of a cyclically emerging color mirror of my inner world.

What you don’t want done to you,

Don't do that to anyone else.

My goal is to raise awareness of fairness and respect among each other, regardless of social, economic or external differences such as origin or gender. I am committed to ensuring that a person's appreciation is not determined solely by external characteristics or social status symbols, but by their simple existence and individual being.

The idea from "The Little Prince" that what is essential is often invisible to the naked eye inspires me in my artistic work.

Exhibition March 2024

The Hera Circle & Mr. Düsseldorf

On March 26th I presented my series of images "As if numb or alive" during the collaborative event between The Hera Circle and Mr. Düsseldorf.

The idea for this series came about during my time in India, particularly during a yoga teacher training in Rishikesh. There I began to explore the attitude to life that comes with courageous decisions. It is about the beauty of calm and trust in the unknown, as well as the freedom and variety of possibilities that open up when you follow your inner impulses.

The series of images is intended to represent this process of inner discovery and transformation.

Trip to India

Yoga Teacher Training in Rishikesh.

In October 2023 I successfully completed my first Yoga Alliance certified teacher training.

What was particularly important for me was the deepening in Pranayama – the union of body and mind through conscious breathing.

The final exam in Hatha Yoga was also an enriching experience, as I was able to complement the combination of yoga and practical application with a creative exercise.

I concluded this final movement sequence with a painting task for the participants, which aimed to express inner progress intuitively through colors.

Exhibition August 2023

FLINTA*FUSION

My first exhibition took place on the weekend of August 12, 2023 at FLINTA* FUSION. During the event, artists from the FLINTA* community exhibited. FLINTA* stands for women, lesbians, intersex, non-binary, trans and agender people.

This weekend I presented selected images of the year 2023: "She was born by the sea", "Embracing gentleness", "On my way home", "Yellow-red daylilies", "Monochrome", "Soothing touch".

In addition to the presentation of my works, visitors and participants were invited to sit down and get creative with different media (e.g. watercolor, acrylic). There was also the opportunity to do exercises that were intended to serve as a source of inspiration for the painters.

My time in the Netherlands and Austria

The influence of my professional & academic development on my art

My artistic process strengthens my associative thinking and my objective perception by allowing me to process experiences without instructions and to develop new ideas. Using watercolor or oil to visualize what I initially only see in outline is my way of understanding the world and what is happening around me.

Studying cognitive science has made the importance of this process clear to me.

In addition, studying business informatics and AI has enabled me to expand my mathematical and programming knowledge. The qualities of patience that learning mathematics or programming languages requires and the joy that comes with correct results, functions that programmatically solve real problems in the real world, I find in the abstraction of my reality with color. The abstraction of reality with code and functions has become an abstraction of reality with color and form.

During my three years in Vienna, I studied these subjects out of a growing interest in AGI (Artificial General Intelligence).

My interest in artificial intelligence (AI) and the question of whether we can create an artificial brain that surpasses our own intelligence is closely related to my artistic work. I am particularly fascinated by the subjective experience of my works of art and how they are perceived by other people. I see the connection here in the recurring motif of human cognition.

During my studies, I worked for several technology consultancies, including Accenture, adesso and Ernst & Young. My interest in IT also led to a small business offering tutoring in technical subjects.
